The boutique business always appealed to me because I've loved fashion for as long as I can remember. But I also have another gift, one that I discovered while working in fashion retail in high school. My manager would often say, "Pam, you are way better at styling other people than you are yourself!". And that stuck with me!
I always try to be edgy and fun, but it is much easier for me to look at another person and KNOW right away what they will look good in and how to style it.
I wear a lot of all-black outfits, and my motto is, "If you want to wear all black, embrace it, there is nothing wrong with that!" Of course, I do like to throw in a fun shoe and handbag or a cute jacket!
More is not always more when it comes to fashion. I always say it's better to have a few signature pieces and classic items to mix with fun, trendy items.
I'm also the proud mom of twin teenage girls, adopted from Korea in 2007. They are my loves! We were so fortunate to be chosen as their parents, and I'm grateful for them every day.
Like most teenage girls, they are very difficult when it comes to clothing! Growing up, I had like five shirts in my closet that I rotated, so I just don't get it! One is VERY into fashion (and even helps pick items for our teen line!), the other not so much - bless her adorable little heart.
At Hidden Bag Boutique, we just want you mamas to have fun shopping with your teens because any time we can spend with them is precious, since most of them have their own agenda...not including us!
I'm blessed to do what I love and share my life with my incredible daughters and husband. My other loves (and obsessions!) include wine, coffee, black clothes, loungewear, graphic tees, splashes of color and prints, camo, leopard, shoes, handbags, long necklaces, and of course, my girlfriends! I could not even imagine life without my besties!
